Mortgage Assistance Program

Helping You Achieve Your Homeownership Goals

Whether you're a first-time homebuyer, looking to buy your next home or refinance your current one - we're here to help.

The Union Plus Mortgage program, with financing available through Union Plus Mortgage Company, can help you purchase or refinance a home while also receiving exclusive union member benefits.

The Union Plus Mortgage Assistance Program

Are you concerned about missing a house payment or facing foreclosure because you're disabled, laid off, locked out or on strike?

If you've had a Union Plus home mortgage for a year or more, you're protected with our unique mortgage assistance program administered through the AFL-CIO Mutual Benefit Plan.

The program is available to union members.

Eligibility

1. You must have a Union Plus mortgage for at least one year.

2. You or your eligible cosigner are out of work due to a union-approved strike, lockout, involuntary unemployment, or disability;

3. Your income or the eligible cosigner's income is reduced by an amount equal to at least 50% of the monthly mortgage payment;

4.  The income loss first occurred within the 12 months prior to application.

Documentation verifying your union membership, out-of-work status and related income loss is required at the time you apply for benefits.
